Instructions for Cauterized Areas

•  These areas will form a scab.

•  Apply alcohol 3 times daily, avoiding the eyes, until scab falls off.

•  Keep areas uncovered as much as possible. Cover only if clothing irritates the area(s).

•  DO NOT cover area(s) with make-up until the scab falls off.

•  The scab will typically fall off in 7-14 days. For the best results, DO NOT PICK THE SCAB OFF!

•  Use only NON-ASPIRIN pain relievers, such as Tylenol. (Please refer to blood thinning medication list)

•  If bleeding occurs, apply firm, constant pressure with a gauze pad for 30 CONTINUOUS minutes. DO NOT lift gauze to check before 30 minutes elapses. It should stop.
