Microdermabrasion Maryland

Targeted Exfoliation for Smoother, Clearer Skin

Do you feel like your skin looks a little dull and damaged on the surface? We have good news—there is smoother, brighter, and healthier skin underneath that tired veneer! Microdermabrasion can help reveal that better looking complexion for you.

Microdermabrasion is a skin resurfacing procedure that sloughs away dull, blemished skin to reveal smoother, brighter and healthier skin cells beneath. In addition to exfoliation, microdermabrasion triggers new collagen growth in the treated area, helping improve skin tone and firmness following treatment.

Why have a microdermabrasion treatment?

Microdermabrasion can help treat a variety of visible skin flaws without chemicals or heat. Patients like the procedure because it is gentle, non-invasive, and produces noticeable improvements after just a treatment or two, without downtime. Another benefit of microdermabrasion is that it helps skin care products work better—the exfoliation allows your skin to more readily absorb the ingredients, allowing products to be more effective.

Common problems we can treat with microdermabrasion include:

  • Age spots and sun damage
  • Acne scars and clogged pores
  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Rough patches and dryness

Microdermabrasion with our certified medical aesthetician

At our skincare services clinic, your microdermabrasion treatment will be given by Teresa Stogsdill, our certified medical aesthetican with over 20 years of experience in professional skin care.

Microdermabrasion typically takes about 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the size and location of the treatment area. Using a special instrument, Teresa will gently apply pressure to the area to slough off the outermost layers of skin while simultaneously vacuuming away the dead skin cells.

You can return to daily activity after your treatment, although it is important to keep the area protected from the sun.
